Rise to Glory
Hundreds of millions of years ago, soon after the creation of the Galaxy known as Euria, four beings known as The Shapers began creating planets and sowed the seeds of life onto them. Soon, most worlds were filled with many various forms of life, many of which evolved into intelligent and advancing species. However, The Shapers decided that if let to evolve wildly, the Euria would fall into chaos and endless bloodshed. An agreement was made that three of the four would each create one apex race that would guide and lead all the young ones.
Luciel named his race Dar'Aghi which translates to "Wise Ones"
Nashazar named his race Ner'Aghi, which translates to "Cruel Ones"
And Elraen named her race Zer'Aghi, which translates to "Savage Ones"
The fourth Shaper never agreed with this idea. According to his words, bloodshed and domination of one was inevitable. He was laughed at by the other three..only time in the end proved The Third one right.
The Three chosen races were advancing at nearly speed of light with the guidance of the three shapers. In less than a decade they went from primitive scattered tribes across the planet into an advanced arcano-technological race already attempting to conquer space. In another decade, they had complete control of their nine planet solar system and had them completely mapped out. There was not a single thing that they didn't know about it. It was then that the joined forces of Dar'Aghi and Ner'Aghi turned on their fellow "Savage" brothers and sisters and decimated their rebellious empire. Leaving just a few thousands alive for controlled breeding of berserk and enhanced warriors. Luciel decided to pretend nothing happened. He believed them to be perfect and without a single flaw.
The Great Expansion
First Ascended Emperor of the Empire ordered thousands of colony ships to be sent all across the universe with arcane-powered stasis fields which held another thousands of individuals. The plan was simple, yet great at the same time. Once the ship scans would detect an uninhabited planet, the ship would land and a colony would be created. The ships themselves had more than enough materials and resources to build a medium sized city and facilities. These "hidden" colonies located more than a hundred evolved species attempting at space travel, yet, failing horribly. Every one of these colonies had one task, expand it's influence over the planet and if possible the entire system. Once accomplished, they were supposed to send a signal to the homeworld. The Emperor, Nuanar wanted was unsure of what they might find. He was not aware that they were hundreds of years above most other races in both, magic and technology. He wanted to create a web. Almost as if "infection". It took almost a century for all the colonies to reach their desired state, but all send the needed signal. In the meantime, Dar'Aghi and Ner'Aghi combined their forces, the factories spitting out hundreds of space crafts a week. Not a single one of them was meant for peace making or actual talking or bargaining.
Once all the signals from the colonies were sent, the order was given and the massive fleet, nearly several hundreds of thousands strong was sent out. Luciel was nearly bursting with anticipation..what a shock it must have been for him. Dar'Aghi Empire ransacked, slaughtered and enslaved every race they came across with little to no trouble. And when the attacked ones did prove to be troublesome, the hidden colonies dispatched their forces as well. Surprising the enemy by attacking on nearly every possible front. No one stood a chance. It was after the first Great Expansion when the Aghian races saw themselves truly superior and even god-like. Of course, Dar'Aghi Empire was not the only hyper advanced races drifting across Euria. There were others, Ioniia Empire, The Cyanoid and Ethernum Dominion. The word soon spread about higly aggresive race rapidly increasing it's influence all across the galaxy.

"Consequences" of The Great Expansion
Controlling of such a vast ammount of worlds brought immense wealth to Dar'Aghi. Wealth and also an immense ammount of slaves. Slavery was something that the empire relished in. Thousands poured in and out of Dar'Aghos, the homeworld. Renowned generals and high ranking officers of the empire, but also just rich citizens build large, lavish and nearly ridiculously expensive mansions and estates on, as they called them "wild worlds". Wild worlds were inhabited by mostly rather primitive or savage races that were either enslaved by force, or willingly entered slavery, seeing the Dar'Aghi as gods and supreme beings. Needless to say, those who built these estates never treated the natives kindly. Hedonism and pursuit of self satisfaction along with all imaginable means of pleasure for one's body and soul lead to creation of a being that would once be known as the greatest terror that ever existed. Of course, The Empire was too consumed in self satisfaction to notice. Yet, the expansion never stopped and neither did the slaughter and enslaving. A contact with equals was inevitable drawing nearer.
